Christopher Menchaca

Christopher Menchaca passed away peacefully at home on August 19th, 2022 due to complications of amytrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was born November 1, 1962 in Lubbock, TX to Eusabio and Rosalinda (Rocio) Menchaca. He married Tamara (Tammy) Sincleair in Fort Worth, TX on April 9, 1990.

Prior to his ALS diagnosis, Chris proudly served in the United States Army from 1990-1994. He worked for the State at the Texas Workforce Commission as a service representative for several years, ending when he was no longer able to perform his job due to the progression of ALS.

He enjoyed live music and watching sporting events on television and in person. His favorite bands include: Santana, Metallica, and Pearl Jam. Texas Motor Speedway was a must on the weekends when NASCAR was in town. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, Lucas and Balthazar.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Tammy; his daughter, Ashleigh, her husband Ben Lacy, and their son, Lucas of Arlington, TX; his son, Christopher, his wife Alycia and their son, Balthazar of Lubbock, TX and his sister, her husband and their sons of Lubbock, TX.

Chris will be laid to rest at DFW Cemetery with high military honors as he passed, continuing to sacrifice all for his country. Date and time: to be determined and announced for those that would like to give condolences and pay tribute to his life and memory.
